Perfect Tears 3-Tool Set
These paper tearing rulers create a textured, soft, torn-paper-edge effect quickly and easily! Ideal for scrapbook pages, cards, or any paper crafting project.
Each Perfect Tear tool is made of semi-flexible, clear acrylic; it is double sided, so you get two great edges from one tool, for a total of six (6) different edges in the set.
The key to the tool's simplicity is the Refillable Water Pen. The Water Pen gives a controlled, light flow of water to moisten the paper, prior to tearing. Perfect for hard-to-tear papers like vellum, thicker paper and card stock.
How does it work?
These paper tearing rulers are crystal clear and easy to position over projects for ideal alignment. Each tool has two sides, so you have a choice of six (6) different torn-paper effects.
To use, simply align the tool on the paper where you want to tear, and run the water pen down the paper along the side of the tool. This lightly moistens the paper to get a perfect, "torn" edge. The edges of each tool are beveled, so when pulled towards you at a 45 degree angle, paper tears easily! Get beautiful, textured, decorative, ruffled edges, done in seconds!
BONUS! Each tool has traditional measurement marks on it AND special fractional measurements! Get 5/8 or 7/8 of an inch, visible right through the clear tool.
What do I get?
The Deluxe 3-Tool Set contains three (3) tools (for 6 different edges), and a set of instructions and suggestions on how to use the tools.

I ordered this for a clients' project, as they wanted a torn paper effect on their wedding invitations. While the water pen took a little while to get started, it works like a charm! I used a heavier cardstock, so the water took some extra time to soak in before I could tear it along the edge of the ruler, but it gave an amazing finish that I think my clients will love.

While there are many similar products available the Perfect Tears are head and shoulders above the rest. The features that make them the best are bevel edges, 6 designs, clear, ruler markings (handy) Water pen and holes to hang them on a ring. Lots of helpful videos with ideas rounds out the package.

Not as easy to use as perfec layers. I practiced with it last night and the tears didn't turn out like the video, but i am thinking when you outline with the water pen, you might have to wait a few minutes before tearing. Practice, practice, practice
