Perfect Layers is a MUST if you want to create perfect borders, frames and layered effects on your scrapbook pages, cards, or any paper crafting project. Using Perfect Layers, you can cut from 1/16 of an inch (very thin borders), up to 5/8 of an inch (bold borders), WITH NO MEASURING REQUIRED!!
For over a decade, Perfect Layers has been an essential tool for paper crafters. You may have seen it on QVC as a Customer Top-Rated Item presented by Scrapbooking Guru, Lisa Bearnson. Lisa loved this item, and was quoted as saying, “This is one of my favorite tools we sell for scrapbooking!”
What do I get?
This Tool Set contains two (2) tools (for 8 "No Measure" border sizes), and a set of instructions and suggestions on how to use the tools.
Tool #1 - 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 5/8
Tool #2 – 1/16, 3/16, 5/16, 1/2
How does it work?
You heard it: NO MEASURING!
Perfect Layers is designed with a patented “catch lip” that simply "bumps" up along the picture. The tool hooks onto the edge of the image, giving the precise border measurement you want!
Using a standard craft knife blade, just cut along the outside of the Perfect Layers tool. Each tool has stainless-steel edging for durability and smoothness of cutting. Simply follow the tool edge along all sides of your picture or project, and you have a perfectly matted or framed result!
It’s so simple to do! Check out the HOW-TO page to see the product in action.

This is ingenious, accurate, something I couldn't get with a cutter. I can use this every day. Only wish it had a slip-proof base.

I was really hoping this would be the answer to my problem with matting. They are! Straight, even borders from scraps of paper, every time after a very short learning curve.

I really LOVE the idea of perfect layers but was not happy with the result so far. I've use the 1/16 one and it would not catch the paper until I bent it up some so it would catch then it worked perfect... I used it on several differnt Spellbinder layers and they are all rounded down so I had to pull them up a little so it would catch too.... not what I had in mind really. But will keep working with them to see if I get the nack of it better.... Havent tried the Perfect Square yet....

I needed to get even layering on my cards and photos and it was a struggle. This tool saved me. I will continue to use it and recommend to my scrapbooking friends.

So far, I think it is fine. On the 1/16 measure, I have had it slip off the picture and I cut the paper too close and since the picture was mounted, I couldn't just change it without messing up the paper. I will continue to work with them of course because I like the idea and with doing scrapbooks it should save time. I am thinking it will be 5 stars once I get the hang of it.

Finally I have even layering. Thank you.

I've been using Perfect Layers for over a year now and could not craft without them. I'm a card maker and before Perfect Layers I could not get straight matting and layering. These are just so simple and easy to use.The only reason I purchased another set was that I spilt glue on my original ones

Let me say right away that this is a great product! I love being able to creat a 1/16" border when the best I could do before was only 1/8", The reason I gave this product 4 stars was because being a lefty, I had to do the cuts with my right (and therefore much less reliable) right hand. Is there a tutorial I missed on how to use this product if you are left-handed?

I have given this as a gift as well as using it myself. I wouldn't be without it. It is a quick, accurate way to mat photos and small art work. Also, it's very portable.

I purchased the Perfect Layers 2-Tool set and have been very happy with them. I can easily and quickly cut perfect mats for any square, rectangle, triangle or other non-rounded shape.
I found it MUCH easier to use a rotary cutter than an x-acto knife to cut the cardstock.
